Isaac Dawson

Isaac (Ike) Dawson was born to Isaac Sr., and Lula Dawson in Tallulah, Louisiana on June 18, 1926. He was the 6th of 7 siblings. His siblings are parents proceeded him in death, except baby brother Otis. Isaac left home at an early age to look for work. Moving from a rural area to town was a life altering transformation as during this he found work and purchased his first car, and thus began his lifelong love affair for new, shiny, long cars. Until his health began to fail, he would be seen cruising around the west side of town, checking out the daily happenings. Still following the work, he moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where he renewed a love friendship with Alberta Greer (deceased), where they were married. To this union there were 4 children, Jimmy (deceased), Dolores, Nathaniel, and Raymond (deceased). Later he met and married Mary Elizabeth (Liz) Scott Dawson and lovingly took care of her through a long illness until her death. Moving from Las Vegas to San Bernardino, CA, he worked for many companies through the Construction Labor Union. He worked at Eagle Mountain in Indio, CA, and also on many, many freeway projects in the Inland Empire, as the area was just starting to build the now way to travel. He retired after 40 years of service. He leaves to cherish his memory are: a daughter Dolores Smith (Rialto, CA), a son Nathaniel Daswon (Fontana, CA), a brother Otis Dawson (Tallulah, LA), a daughter-in-law (San Tan Valley, AZ), a special cousin Pearl La Grande (San Bernardino, CA), a loving friend Barbara Topps (San Bernardino, CA). He also has 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends......
