Hector Gonzalez

Hector Gonzalez was born at home on January 4, 1942 in Boyle Heights, California to Jesus and Victoria Gonzalez and lived in that area during his childhood. He joined the Air Force after graduating from high school where he served as a radio operator overseas. After his service, he moved back to the Los Angeles area where he attended East LA college to study acting. He performed in several plays during that time. He spent his career with Local #33 as a stagehand for various television shows and productions. During that time he met his wife Grace whom he married on July 6, 1974 and had 2 children, Natalie and Paul. The family lived in West Covina, CA until he retired. After retiring in 2002, they moved to La Verne, CA. Hector passed away in his sleep on Monday, November 10th, 2014 after battling cancer. Hector is survived by his wife, Grace, and their two children Natalie and Paul, son-in-law Onofrio and granddaughter Hailey. He is also survived by his oldest son Remy from his first marriage and his wife and children. Hector is also survived by his two sisters, Gila and Lupe and several family members.
