Sue Davis, 83, of San Bernardino, passed away on Thursday evening, November 29, 2017, surrounded by her family. She was born in Lawton, Oklahoma on November 8, 1934. As a spirited and fiercely independent young woman, she moved to San Bernardino at the age of thirteen where she later met her former husband Bill Daniels (deceased). She was a loving mother to her three sons; Steve Daniels, of San Bernardino; Jeff Daniels of San Bernardino; and Chris Daniels of Malone, New York, a devoted grandmother to her eight wonderful grandchildren, and a proud great-grandmother of two. She also loved and adored her extended family in Oklahoma. Her heart was filled with love and generosity for her family, community, and her animals. Sue worked as a social worker for the County of San Bernardino and retired in 1996 after twenty-two years of service to her city. Devoted to knowledge and education, at the age of 58 she earned a Bachelor in Science from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. She loved talking politics and sharing her insights. Sue also had a passion for travel and culture. During her life, she visited Europe, Mexico, Canada and studied a language immersion program in Saltio, Mexico. A lover of the arts, she was an avid volunteer at The California Theater. Sue will be greatly missed by her family but will live forever in their hearts as a woman who lived life with great honesty, passion, and love.
