Christine Viola Ray Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Christine Viola (Schumann) Ray 10/27/1929-5/27/2022 Christine passed away peacefully on May 27, 2022. The daughter of Louis and Willis Schumann, Christine was born in 1929, at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas. She fell in love and married Clarence W. (Jack) Ray who preceded her to Heaven in September 1981. Together they moved to San Bernardino in the 50’s where they raised their seven children. Christine is survived by her 7 children: daughter Linda Ferguson; daughter Sharon Causey; son Clarence (Buddy) Ray and his wife Tina; daughter Susie Ray; daughter Donna Woods; son Paul Ray and his wife Tami; daughter Laura Romero and her husband Bobby. 17 Grand Children; 19 Great Grandchildren; 9 Great- Great Grandchildren. Also survived by 3 brothers William Schumann (Anna Louise);Paul Schumann; Richard Schumann (Gayle) and numerous nieces and nephews. Christine was a member of Trinity Lutheran church for many years. She was an avid reader of novels and the daily newspaper. As the Matriarch of the family, she always brought the family together for holidays and fun times. Christine was a stay-at-home mother and grandmother as her family was the center of her universe. Graveside service is June 13, 2022 at 11:45 am at Riverside National Cemetery.
